My name is Destyni Atchison and I am a Registered Dietitian. I love food and am passionate about its role to both nourish us and bring us together.
I am a wife, mother and owner of a very energetic dog that keeps me out walking lots! I am T'exelcemc First Nation and am passionate about working with First Nations communities.
I graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2012 with my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. I then moved up North to Fort St. John, BC and have enjoyed working and living here ever since.
I am registered with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and am a member of Dietitians of Canada.
I completed my dietitian internship at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, BC and then started working as a Clinical Dietitian with Northern Health in 2013.
I wanted to expand dietitian availability in my community so opened up my private nutrition consulting business soon after where I serve clients both locally and virtually across the province.
I acknowledge that I work, learn & live on the traditional territory of the Dane-zaa.
I have worked with various community partners and organizations to promote healthy living and to translate nutrition advice into practical action steps.
